How to Choose the Right Used Construction Vehicle for Your Project

Choosing the right machinery is the difference between a profitable project and a costly delay. When buying used, you aren’t just looking at the price tag; you’re looking at the remaining life of the machine.

    1. Define the Primary Task

Before browsing the Easyway inventory, ask:

    • What is the terrain? (Rough, muddy, or paved?)

    • What is the payload? (Are you moving dirt, rocks, or heavy debris?)

    • What are the space constraints? (Do you need a compact mini-excavator or a full-sized loader?)

    2. Check the “Operating Hours”

Just like mileage on a car, operating hours tell the story. However, a well-maintained machine with 5,000 hours is often better than a neglected one with 2,000. Always ask for service logs.

    3. Inspect the Hydraulics and Undercarriage

In construction, the undercarriage can account for nearly 50% of maintenance costs. Check for leaks in the hydraulic lines and ensure the tracks or tires have enough “meat” left on them to last through your next project.

At Easyway, we pre-inspect our vehicles to ensure they are job-site ready from day one.
